Flower Garland

Perk up the edge of a shelf with a simple crochet-flower garland. Make each lacy flower using cotton yarn in bright colors, then join the flowers to a simple chain-stitched chain.

  • Worsted-weight yarn (such as Lily Sugar ‘n Cream 100% cotton): Soft Ecru, Hot Green, Tangerine
  • Crochet hook size H
  • Tapestry needle

Ch 4, sl st to 1st ch to make a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 13 dc in ring. Join with sl st to beg ch 3 (14 dc).

Rnd 2: *Ch 3, sk next st, sl st into next st. Rep from *six more times until you reach the beg. Join with sl st to beg ch 3. Note: You should have seven loops around your work.

Rnd 3 (Petals): In each ch 3 sp, work the following sts: sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc. Continue around flower. Sl st to first sc. You should have seven petals. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Rep to make desired number of flowers in desired colors.

* Ch 25. Join flower to ch. Rep from *, adding flowers until desired garland length is reached.
