Little Knit Bow

Designer:  Melissa Leapman

This tiny bow is absolutely aww-worthy. Add a chain, and it’s a feminine necklace. Or dress up a little boy’s attire by fastening it to his shirt collar.

Finished measurements: approx 1×2″

  • Worsted weight yarn, 8 yards (41 m) in lavender, yellow, or lime
  • Size 8 (5 mm) knitting needles

Note: Gauge is not crucial to the success of this project.

See our guide to yarn here.

Cast on 6 sts.

Row 1 (RS): *K1, p1; repeat from * across.

Row 2: *P1, k1; repeat from * across.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until piece measures approx 4″ from beg.

Bind off in pattern, leaving a 12″ tail.

Fold the cast-on and bound-off ends to center of wrong side, and tack into place.

Wrap 12″ yarn tail six times around center of bow to cinch it into shape. Secure yarn tails.
